Silver Badges
Each season Croquet NZ provides every Association with Silver Badges for levels play competition in each grade of both Association and Golf Croquet. Historically each club was required to hold internal competitions to select a representative to play in the regional play-off. Now the Regional event is not restricted to one representative although entry numbers may require some restrictions. In which case Clubs must prioritise their entries. The handicap ranges are: Association Croquet: 0 to 3, 4 to 9, 10 to 16 and 18 to 24; - not being held this season Golf Croquet: -6 to 2, 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 16. The WCA Silver Badges event will be held as two-day tournaments open to any representative(s) from each club, in each grade. Clubs may run internal competitions to select a representative Association Croquet - 2½-hour, Reg 9 games – not being held this season Golf Croquet - 13-point games 1-hour time limit. Your club may pay the $20.00 entry fee for each player in each division for the WCA play-off. Badges are not awarded if there is only one entrant in the regional event. For more information refer to the NZ Yearbook– Tournament Regulations Appendix 5 HE Arthur Ross Memorial (AC) & The Don Reyland Stars (GC)
The Arthur Ross Memorial is an Association Croquet handicap competition in which every affiliated AC player is entitled to take part. The Don Reyland Stars is an equivalent event in which every affiliated GC player is entitled to take part. See Tournament Flyers for relevant details click here Firstly, clubs play to find a winner who will then compete in our WCA play-off. The winner of this goes forward to the national final as advertised in the Yearbook. If there is only one entrant at club level that player may enter the WCA play-off. Your club normally pays the $20.00 entry fee for the play-off players.
